Exascale computing brings with it both an incredible opportunity to use computing to more rapidly advance our knowledge, but with significant challenges of managing, assessing, and analyzing an unprecedented massive scale of generated data. Intel along with many HPC domain scientist, our Intel Graphics and Visualization Institutes (Intel GVIs), The DOE ECP/ESP program, and data analysis teams continue our vigorous effort to meet this challenge. A key method is known as “In Situ Compute and Visual Analysis” which turns this challenge from days, months, years of turnaround to discovery to become essentially “Real-Time”. This talk will discuss the challenge and technologies under development to make Exascale’s promise a reality. Jim Jeffers, Sr. Director, Sr. Principal Engineer, Advanced Rendering and Visualization at Intel Corporation
